The reigning ROTY took the league by storm; helping All-Star teammate Joel Embiid lead the Philadelphia 76ers to the playoffs with the 3rd seed for the first time in six seasons. This year Ben Simmons is doing just as well with a stat line of 16.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per contest.

The 22-year-old out of LSU is just getting started and already has the NBA world talking about his All-Star game worthiness. He’s also on one of the best teams in the East, so he deserves consideration, at the very least.

With the league already seeing Simmons as an All-Star game candidate in his first year his case only gets better with a profound sophomore season for both he and the 76ers so far.
