Spencer Dinwiddie, Guard (2015-present)

Teams: Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons

Career best stat line: 16.7 points, 5 assists, 46% FG (2018-19)

Traded to Chicago, by Detroit, only to be waived by them, after just five preseason games, Dinwiddie never seemed to be given a fair chance. But after finally finding a home in Brooklyn and receiving enough playing time, this season, he is a sixth man of the year candidate and one of the main reasons why the Nets are battling for playoff positioning in the East right now.

Klay Thompson, Guard (2012-present)

Teams: Golden State Warriors

Career best stat line: 20 points, 49% FG, 44% 3PT (2017-18)

Often referred to as a player who benefits from Curry’s presence, with rarely needing to dribble to score all his points, Klay is arguably the most underrated player on the Golden State Warriors. His on-ball defense is elite and on par with some of the best, but so far in his career, he still hasn’t managed to make a single all-NBA defensive team.

Klay’s on-ball defense can’t be labeled statistically friendly since he doesn’t get many steals or blocks, but he is consistently able to beat the offensive player to the spot, very similar to Avery Bradley back in his Celtic days.
