2019 NBA Trade Deadline: 5 teams to keep an eye on

Any LeBron James led team is always one to watch in the weeks leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline. This year, that just happens to be the Los Angeles Lakers. When healthy, the Lakers were a top 4 team in the Western Conference.

However, LeBron hasn’t been healthy over the last few weeks and its resulted in the team falling all the way to the 8th seed in the conference. However, it should be noted that they are only 2.5 games back of the third seed. Not so bad.

With the expectation of LeBron returning sooner rather than later, the Lakers should be fine. But even “fine” won’t be enough to compete with the Golden State Warriors on the biggest stage in the playoffs.

If the Lakers want to take the next step as a team, they’re going to need to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline. You can almost bet that they make some sort of move. Will it be big or small, though, that is the question.
