Portland Trail Blazers vs. Utah Jazz

The Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz on paper should be a good game as the Blazers are a top 5 team in the West while the Jazz are battling to make the playoffs. However, this season when Utah and Portland have played this season the Jazz have destroyed the Trail Blazers.

Utah has won both meetings by 30 and 21 and the most recent meeting came on Christmas night. Portland will need a big game not just from Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum but it will need significant contributions from players like Jusuf Nurkic and Al-Farouq Aminu. If it can get help from those guys and its bench then they could finally pick up a win over Utah.

As for the Jazz they are battling the Lakers among others for the final spot in the Western Conference playoff picture and could use all the wins they can get. Utah has struggled offensively this season and will once again rely on its defense to carry the team. Rudy Gobert has been outstanding all season and Donovan Mitchell has played better lately so it could be a sign that the Jazz are finding a formula that works.
