NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring four potential trade scenarios for New York Knicks second-year point guard Frank Ntilikina ahead of the trade deadline

It’s been a rather disappointing sophomore season for New York Knicks point guard Frank Ntilikina. The Belgian-born baller has shown little to no improvement from year one to year two. And while he is already one of the best defensive guards in the entire league, he has been one of the worst offensive players which has led to limited playing time.

While his poor offensive showing is one reason he hasn’t seen much more than 20 minutes a night, the other is undoubtedly the rise and resurgence of Emmanuel Mudiay. Mudiay’s impressive showing this season is actually the main reason Frank the tank hasn’t gotten more opportunities to learn and grow.

So since Mudiay seems to be looking like New York’s point guard for the (foreseeable) future, Ntilikina becomes expendable and could be one of the players to keep an eye on come the trade deadline.

There are a few times around the league in need of a point guard and could be willing to roll the dice on this 20-year-old (let’s remember how young he still is!).
