NBA Trade Rumors: Now that Anthony Davis has requested a trade, here are four potential packages that should be on the table

Well, the time is finally here.

While many expected Anthony Davis to formally hit the trade block this summer, it appears to be coming a bit premature. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Davis had informed the New Orleans Pelicans that he will not re-sign long-term with the team.

In other words, trade me or lose me for nothing when I have the opportunity to be a free agent after next season. And that’s largely what most expect to happen over the next two weeks. However, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if the Pelicans elect to wait until the NBA Draft to officially move Davis.

One big reason for potentially taking that route is due to the fact that the Boston Celtics can’t get in on the bidding war until Kyrie Irving opts out of his contract, due to a league ruling.

Nevertheless, there will be a number of teams that will try to get a deal done before the Celtics, who arguably have the most assets in their wallet, can undercut them during the summer. Here are four blockbuster trade packages that should be offered for Anthony Davis.
