NBA Trade Rumors: Pistons, Kings interested in Marc Gasol?
NBA Trade Rumors: The Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings have emerged as two potential landing spots for Marc Gasol ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline
Last week, it was reported that the Memphis Grizzlies were going to start listening to offers for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. With the NBA Trade Deadline a week and a half away, if the Grizzlies are going to move one or both of them, those offers need to start getting a bit more clear and a market needs to start developing.
And while it’s been relatively quiet on the Conley/Gasol front, it appears there are at least two teams that are interested in Marc Gasol. According to a report from The Ringer, the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons are two teams interested in Gasol.
Still, no deal is reportedly imminent.

The Kings are an interesting potential landing spot. This is a team that has been one of the most interesting stories in the NBA this season, as the group of youngsters is three games back of the 8th spot in the Western Conference and could really be buoyed by an addition such as Gasol.
Gasol could be a calming force in that locker room and could provide the necessary punch in the arm that this team needs in order to make a serious push towards the playoffs during the second half of the season.
As for the Pistons, well they are currently in a mess of a situation and any deal including Gasol would likely have Andre Drummond moving to either a third team or to the Grizzlies.
It’s not clear how interested the Kings and/or Pistons are at this point in trading for Gasol, but the fact that they inquired has to stand for something.
