James Harden is going to be back-to-back as MVP, Chris Paul and Eric Gordon are back and healthy, and Clint Capela will be back on the court after All-Star weekend. This is the chance for the Rockets to get hot and take a shot at Davis to get over the hump versus the Golden State Warriors. While Davis presence would require fewer shots on Harden’s end, but the chance that every Harden miss is Davis’ offensive rebound is pretty damn high.

Houston record: 29-20, 5th in West

Houston receives: Anthony Davis, 2020 2nd Round Draft Pick

New Orleans receives: Clint Capela, PJ Tucker, James Ennis III, and a 2019 1st Round Draft Pick

The Rockets have to unload a lot to get Davis and that most likely will include Capela after re-signing with Houston in the offseason. Eric Gordon and Nene Hilario could be dealt, but Gordon’s role off the bench is critical to Houston’s run; just look at them without Trevor Ariza.
