What an offer would look like:

Pelicans Get: Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson, Bam Adebayo, first-round pick

Heat Get: Anthony Davis

The Miami Heat really only have three quality assets on their roster, and in order to get in the race for Anthony Davis they would have to include all three of Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson and Bam Adebayo.

Even if they were to do that, I’m not sure it’s enough to compete with any of the other offers that the Pelicans are going to get in the days leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline and possibly in the off-season, should New Orleans hold off on moving Davis.

Miami should, no question, make a phone call, though. And knowing the type of president that Pat Riley is, he will be aggressive. Whether he could get the Pelicans to stay on the line is an entirely different question.
