NBA Trade Rumors: Ranking the top 10 potential offers for Anthony Davis
5. New York Knicks
What an offer would look like:
Pelicans Get: Anthony Davis
Knicks Get: Unprotected 2019 first-round pick, Kevin Knox, Frank Ntilikina, Tim Hardaway Jr.
For the New York Knicks to be a serious contender for Anthony Davis, this deal would almost have to wait until the off-season, even more so if they can hammer down the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
In that event, they could build a package around rookie Kevin Knox, Tim Hardaway Jr. and potentially the top pick in the NBA Draft (Zion Williamson). That would be an intriguing proposition, especially if they secure Zion. It would be a tough decision to say no, and a big reason why is because Zion would be the new face of the franchise and probably sell as many, or perhaps even more, tickets than AD.
If the Knicks could pull off this trade without giving up Kristaps Porzingis, it would be huge. They could then couple Kristaps and AD, while being real players during free agency.
