NBA Trade Rumors: According to a recent report, the New York Knicks are expected to shop Kristaps Porzingis ahead of the trade deadline
The 2019 NBA Trade Deadline is going to be explosive from all accounts.
That’s because not only will Anthony Davis be on the trade block in the coming days, leading up to next week’s NBA Trade Deadline, but Kristaps Porzingis could also be on the block.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks are expected to discuss potentially moving him before next week’s trade deadline.
This all stemmed from Kristaps and his camp meeting with the Knicks about his future with the team. He was concerned about the direction of the team, and met with team officials to discuss just that.
Now, it’s being reported that he wants to be traded. This is a huge revelation, especially on the heels of Anthony Davis being recently connected to possibly being moved to the Knicks. It’s going to be interesting to see if any of these two have to do with the other, but New York could now theoretically offer Kristaps for AD in a trade ahead of the deadline.
However, that could be difficult considering that Kristaps could hit the restricted free agent market this summer. It could make things complicated for all parties around. Nevertheless, this timing is really impeccable.
As it was, the NBA Trade Deadline was going to be bonkers even with just one big name on the market. Now, with potentially two superstars on the open market, it’s going to be that much more chaotic and interesting.
Where will AD land? Will the Pelicans sit on this ticking time bomb heading into the summer? Will Kristaps be seriously shopped? Will they be swapped for each other? There are so many different storylines to follow heading into next week’s NBA Trade Deadline.
Buckle up, NBA fans. This is getting good. And this might just be the beginning of a wonderful action-filled trade week.
