22. Detroit Pistons (22-29)
The Detroit Pistons are one of those teams that desperately need to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline, but really don’t have much wiggle room to do so. Reggie Jackson is a player they’d love to move, but the $18 million he’s owed for next season would make it difficult.
And if the Pistons can’t move Jackson, the only other players that would be attractive to opposing teams would be Blake Griffin and/or Andre Drummond, but there are certainly obstacles in moving one or both of those contracts.
Detroit might actually be stuck right now, and in a terrible position. They’re not good enough to be a playoff team in the East, and aren’t bad enough to get a high enough draft pick to make a difference. It’s a terrible place to be in the NBA.
