Jabari Parker, Chicago Bulls

Likeliness to get traded: 5/10

Jabari Parker is a somewhat interesting piece. He is young, at only 23 years old, and can score the ball, but also barely plays defense.

This is also the guy who was quoted before the season saying:

"“They don’t pay players to play defense,” which most NBA fans took as “I am not here to play defense.”"

This was not a good look for him when he was already considered a poor defender. He is kind of in the same situation as Carmelo Anthony is in right now, in that he can’t find playing time despite his scoring abilities because of his defensive liabilities.

He is also making $20 million this year, which I knew was crazy when the Bulls offered it to him this summer. Not to dog on the Bulls, but if he can’t get any playing time there, what team is he going to be able to find playing time with? He could make an interesting bench piece for a team because he could come in and get some buckets with the second unit, but who wants to play a bench player $20 million?

Some team will likely make a move on him though, since he’s on an expiring contract and is a former number two overall draft pick and is only 23 years old.

Trade Idea: Bulls send Jabari Parker to the Knicks, Knicks send Enes Kanter to the Kings, and Kings send Zach Randolph and Skal Labissierre to the Bulls
