Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers

Likeliness to get traded: 4/10

Kevin Love has his cons, namely his injury proneness and contract, but he has many pros as well. He’s a veteran with championship experience that can shoot, pass, and rebound at a high level.

The fact that he is going to make $28 million next year, $32 million for the next two, and then $28 million at 34 years old will scare a lot of teams off, but he has career averages of 18 points and 11 rebounds per game and shot 41 percent from 3 last year, so somebody is going to at least take a long, hard look at making a move for him.

Whether his contract fits with a team will be a bigger question than whether he fits with a team on court. I think the Cavaliers are already regretting giving him a huge contract extension. They were expecting to be competitive in the East, but it is becoming apparent that that isn’t realistic. The Cavs hope to trade Kevin Love, draft Zion Williamson or R.J. Barrett with their lottery pick, and go full tank mode again next season.

Trade Idea: Nuggets send Paul Millsap, Will Barton, and a first-round pick to the Cavaliers for Kevin Love and Alec Burks
