NBA Trade Deadline Preview: 24 trade candidates and possible deals
By Shade Piper
Harrison Barnes, Dallas Mavericks
Likeliness to get traded: 4/10
Harrison Barnes is averaging 17.9 points per game on 39.6 percent from 3-point range this year. He isn’t a huge help on the boards and isn’t known as a defensive stopper, but he is a solid defender and he’s only 26 years old, so he could still improve in both areas.
He probably hasn’t even hit his prime yet, but already has some championship experience and can put the ball in the hole. There haven’t been any rumors about him being shopped by the Mavericks, but there have been many rumors of teams interested in him.
After the Mavericks recent trade though, I think Barnes getting traded is definitely doubtful at best at this point.
Trade Idea: Kings trade Willy Cauley-Stein, Zach Randolph, and a first-round pick to the Mavericks for Harrison Barnes
