Brooklyn Nets: How the Nets transformed into a playoff contender

Though the Brooklyn Nets haven’t had many high draft picks in recent years, they have made the most of the picks they have had.

Most notably, they took Jarrett Allen with the 22nd pick in the 2017 draft and this year, Allen is proving to be a starting-calibre NBA center. He may still have some raw areas in his game, but he’s certainly coming along as a prospect.

Back in 2016, they also managed to get Caris LeVert in a draft day deal with the Pacers. LeVert was also blossoming into a star this year before suffering a dislocated foot in November. Though it was a crushing blow when he went down, the Nets have gone on this incredible run without him which is all the more encouraging for when he does return which could be sooner than expected.
