A Team-First Approach

The truth is you can make the best draft picks, have a ton of talent and still not find success in the NBA.

How?

If the players don’t understand their respective roles. That is not a problem with this Brooklyn Nets team. Coach Atkinson has made sure each of his guys knows and understands their roles on the court and it seems that they have all bought into that philosophy.

They don’t blow you away with a high-powered offence. They won’t lock you up with suffocating defence. But they will play hard, they’ll play within themselves and they’ll play each game like they expect to win it.

And that has helped lead them to a 28-27 record through the first 55 games of the year.

Looking ahead for the Brooklyn Nets, they’re currently 3.5 games ahead of ninth-placed Detroit and with less than 30 games left this season, it’s looking like they’re going to make it into the playoffs. And with Caris LeVert coming back, they are going to be a tough out come playoff time.

They may not win a series but they are certainly a squad none of the top teams wants to face in round one.
