New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have many it plain and simple: they’re ready to rebuild. They’ve recently traded the former face of their franchise, Kristaps Porzingis, and other players like Tim Hardaway Jr., Trey Burke, and Courtney Lee for Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, Wesley Matthews, and two first-round picks.
The Knicks will also be loaded with cap space as two of those players, Wesley Matthews and DeAndre Jordan, are on expiring contracts. They also have two max slots so they can sign some big-name free agents this summer.
Irving, who grew up in the New Jersey area, would be back home as well. With the future looking bright and home right around the corner, New York could be an attractive spot for Kyrie Irving, even more so if they can get another big-name player to commit first.
