New York Knicks

The Knicks came out ahead as well in the trade with the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks did trade the best asset they have had in years in Kristaps Porzingis, but in doing so New York cleared up more salary room to afford two max free agents this summer.

The speculation of who could be coming will be consuming New York Knick fans until July 1st. Could the Knicks land Kevin Durant? Could Kyrie Irving leave Boston and come home to New York? What about Jimmy Butler? There are so many possibilities for the Knicks now.

For the Knicks to send off a player of Kristaps Porzingis stature the Knicks must have a decent idea that they are in the running for a couple of big name free agents. Keep in mind that the Knicks were pretty certain that LeBron James was coming to New York. How did that work out for them?

Knick fans can be excited for the future, but don’t get overly fired up. It could all blow up on New York again.
