Chris Webber, Forward/Center (1993-2008)

Teams: Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons

Career best stat line: 27.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 48% FG (2000-01)

Webber’s 2001 Kings were ahead of their time: their ball movement and fast-paced offense is similar to what we see Kerr’s Warriors do nowadays. The King’s best shooter, at the time, was Peja Stojakovic (also their second-leading scorer).

Yet under today’s NBA standards, with an augmented level of importance on the 3 ball, it has now lead to more players practicing the three; even bigs are now shooting it to adapt. If you gave Webber a personnel that had the shooting ability that today’s players bring, you would likely see Webber put up great assist performances similar to Nikola Jokic.

Additionally, Webber might have even added the three-pointer to his repertoire, since plenty of the big men who can now shoot the 3 had the mid-range game to begin with (e.g., Embiid, Cousins).
