The Dallas Mavericks made quite the headlines in the week leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline, when they traded Wesley Matthews, DeAndre Jordan, Dennis Smith Jr. and a couple future first-round picks for Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee.

In essence, many view this deal as one that managed to clear cap space for the Knicks heading into a big summer. As for the Mavs, this deal is one that will couple Kristaps with Luka Doncic for (hopefully) the foreseeable future.

The hope to form the next Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki duo and with the way that Doncic has looked during his rookie season, how could you doubt them. If Kristaps returns to 100 percent next season, the Mavs are going to be one of the most interesting teams to follow in the Western Conference.
