The Detroit Pistons remained relatively quiet at the NBA Trade Deadline, mostly because they didn’t have much wiggle room. They did make a move for Thon Maker, but that for the most part won’t matter in the team’s immediate future.

A couple days after, though, they did manage to sign Wayne Ellington, and that addition will certainly help. While Ellington isn’t a prototypical 3-and-D wing that every team in the NBA could use, he is a real deep threat – something that the Pistons have struggled to utilize.

Ellington comes over and will immediately have an impact on this team, assuming he’s used in the right situations and in the right moments. Ellington can shoot with the best of them, and could help clinch this team’s push towards the playoffs.
