25. Memphis Grizzlies (23-34)

The Memphis Grizzlies were another team that many were watching at the NBA Trade Deadline. In the end, they did in fact move Marc Gasol (for pennies on the dollar, depending on who you ask), but elected to hold on to Mike Conley for a while.

They weren’t blown away by what the offers were on the table for Conley, and hope that they could get a better haul during the summer (possibly at the draft). Nevertheless, it’s clear that the Grizzlies have officially embraced the rebuild. Moving on from Gasol (and soon) Conley has to be difficult.

But change is the only constant in life, and it’s finally hitting the Grizzlies (it appears). If Memphis can secure a top 5 or 6 pick, it will go a long way in this team’s road back to relevance in the Western Conference.
