10. Houston Rockets (33-24)

Heading into the NBA All-Star break, the Houston Rockets have won seven of their last 11 game and James Harden has continued his impressive play through the month of February. In the new calendar year, Harden has averaged 44 and 38 points, respectively, in the first two months of 2019.

He is securing his name atop the NBA’s MVP race for the season, and has his team just one game back of the 4th seed in the Western Conference. If Harden and the Rockets continue on this tear, don’t be surprised if they climb into the top 4 and host a first-round playoff series.

The big question for the Rockets is whether or not this team will blossom into that NBA Championship contender during the playoff push.
