NBA: Which teams will earn the final three playoff spots in the East?
Prediction
The prediction game is never easy, no matter how much information we have or how much we think we have. There are also factors that perhaps we don’t see coming – like injuries, hot streaks or late-season additions.
And that could be the case for the race for the final three spots in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Taking into account how each of these teams has looked as of late, and the strength of their remaining schedule, here is a quick prediction of how I believe things will shake out in the bottom of the East:
6. Miami Heat
7. Brooklyn Nets
8. Charlotte Hornets

Perhaps this is somewhat shocking to see, but I believe the Heat will be buoyed by a healthy Dragic and the Nets will fall victim to their difficult schedule to close the season. The Hornets, by the greatness of Kemba, will sneak in and snag the final playoff spot.
