Will Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon ever have a rematch?
While we’re on the topic of the NBA Dunk Contest, let’s quickly revisit the greatest Dunk Contest of the last decade, easily. The 2016 contest between Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon defined what a dunk contest should be, and to many, it is the gold standard to which everything we’ve had these last few years falls short.
The exclusion of these two seems to constantly baffle NBA fans everywhere, and recently, Zach LaVine released an Instagram post that hinted at a possible rematch.
Now, not to give anyone any ideas, but a Zach LaVine/Aaron Gordon rematch would certainly draw more viewers than any contest the NBA could put together, unless they could go in a time machine and pair prime LeBron, Kobe, MJ, and Vince.
Yeah, that’d probably draw more…
Regardless, it would be in the NBA’s best interest to just give the fans what they want, instead of waiting for LaVine and Gordon to put it on by themselves and upstage everyone else on the NBA’s biggest regular season weekend.
