Final Thoughts

Some players just play offence. Others lock up on D but can’t shoot a lick from the perimeter. Some players chase stats. Others chase rings at the expense of individual numbers. An MVP should do all of the above and that is what Paul George does for this Oklahoma City Thunder squad.

Yes, he has Russell Westbrook alongside him who is a walking, talking triple-double and is finally beginning to play true team basketball but make no mistake; Paul George is the MVP of this team and – when the regular season is all said and done – might just be the MVP of the league!

*As an aside, it’s also worth pointing out that not only could Paul George win the MVP award, but he is also in with a real shot of winning defensive player of the year and should also be considered for the most improved player award as well.
