There are always players who are having great years who don’t get talked about. Players such as James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been much of the talk in the NBA and rightfully so, but this has caused some players’ underrated seasons go unnoticed.

Role players are important to a team’s success. Look at how important Ray Allen was to the Miami Heat in the 2013 Finals. More recently, look at the impact Andre Iguodala had for the Golden State Warriors in the 2015 Finals.

While much of the focus goes to stars, role players often get overlooked in national news. They can take a good team and make them a great team. Part of the greatness of the Warriors dynasty is how effective their role players have been in the roles they have been given.
