Malcolm Brogdon, Milwaukee Bucks

Malcolm Brogdon is doing something this year that only seven players in NBA history have done. If Brogdon finishes the season with the same percentages he’s been shooting, he will become the eighth player in NBA history to join the 50-40-90 club.

This season, the Milwaukee Bucks have gone from a solid team to a true contender. Coach Mike Budenholzer has changed the style the Bucks play drastically.

This new system has seen Giannis Antetokounmpo rise to MVP contender and Khris Middleton become an All-Star. But this system has also allowed Malcolm Brogdon to reach new heights in his career.

At the All-Star break, Brogdon was shooting 50.6 percent from the field, 40.8 percent from 3 and 93.8 percent from the line. What makes this more impressive is that his shot attempts from each category are at career highs.

Not only is Malcolm Brogdon playing a bigger role in the offense, but he is also scoring at a historically efficient rate. Brogdon is averaging a career high in points at 15.8, but his impact on the Bucks goes deeper than his offensive efficiency. His defense has helped the Bucks to lead the league in defensive rating this year.

The Milwaukee Bucks are a serious contender for a title this year.  Malcolm Brogdon isn’t being talked about, but he should be. He is a key part of the Milwaukee Bucks success and will play a major role in Milwaukee making a deep postseason run.
