Breaking down eight NBA players that will breakout during the post-All-Star playoff push

The second half of the season, after the all-star break is often looked at as a potential fresh start. It’s not uncommon to see players shine after the break, after struggling in the beginning of the season. There are also those who – while they may have thrived before the break – crank it into another gear down the home stretch.

Today, we’re going to take a look at a few guys who could potentially go off in the final 25-or-so games of the season…

Honourable Mentions

D’Angelo Russell, Brooklyn Nets

Russell has broken on to the scene this year for the Brooklyn Nets and has established himself as a star at the point guard position. Look for him to keep up his elite level of play as he looks to lead this young team into the playoffs.

Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors

One of the most improved players in the league this year, Siakam is looking like a rising star for the Toronto Raptors. If Canada’s team wants to have any hope of reaching the finals and challenging the Warriors, he’s going to have to remain the do-it-all power forward he’s been up to this point.

Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons

After playing pretty poorly for much of the year, Reggie Jackson has shown signs of turning it around as of late. If the Pistons want to make it into the postseason, he’ll need to play big down the stretch for them.
