Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz

Pre all-star numbers: 22.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.5 spg, 0.3 bpg, .418/.322/.794

Donovan Mitchell got off to a rocky, slow start in his sophomore campaign. His shot just wasn’t falling and it didn’t seem like he had made any real strides in other areas of his game.

But around the turn of the new year, Mitchell seemed to flip a switch and almost overnight became a sensation, much like he was in his extraordinary rookie season. In fact, since January 1st, the second-year guard has averaged 26 points and 5 assists a night while leading the Jazz to a 14-6 record in that time frame.

Not only has his scoring gone up, but his all-around game is showing major improvements as well. Look for him to continue on this upward trajectory as the season draws to a close.

Post all-star numbers (prediction): 25 ppg, 4 rpg, 5 apg, 44% fg, 36% 3 pt, 80% ft
