NBA: Stars who will shine the brightest during the playoff push
Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder
M-V-P (-G). Paul George has been having the year of his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder. In just 1.5 years with the team, he’s already become their number one option for scoring and is putting up career-highs in points (28.9), rebounds (8), assists (4.2), steals (2.4) per game.
Not to mention a career-high field-goal percentage (45.5%). The Thunder have the 3rd best record in the West and look like a serious problem for teams they encounter this post-season. This killer resume is a clear-cut case as to why PG13 is a real candidate for MVP.
He has some competition – which includes James Harden Giannis Antetokounmpo – but if he continues to produce the way he has been it’ll be really hard for his adversaries to outmatch him for the award. George has had an amazing season with the Thunder in year 2, and he may just be getting started.
