James Harden, Houston Rockets

With an impressive 31-game streak of scoring 30 points or higher, The Beard is an unstoppable offensive nightmare for anyone who faces him and the Houston Rockets. James Harden is averaging a whopping 36 points per game this season and if he continues this throughout the rest of the year it’ll be one of the highest scoring rates the league has seen in a really long time.

With key support players injured such as Chris Paul and Clint Capela, it has been up to Harden most games to carry the weight offensively. The Rockets have to thank Harden for a LOT of the wins they have this year. The reigning MVP has publically talked about his strong desire to go back-to-back and remain the player to beat for the honor. And there isn’t any other player that has as much of an impact on their team that James Harden does.

The chance of him receiving a second MVP award is real and if he keeps up this level of play it’ll be incredibly tough for anyone else to take it away from him.
