Denver was able to receive plenty of assets in the Carmelo Anthony trade, which led to the Nuggets having a few playoff berths with Ty Lawson and Danilo Gallinari as their best players. But recently, they have had tremendous draft success with guys like Jusuf Nurkic (who is now with the Trail Blazers, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Gary Harris.

Their great talent evaluation, paired with Mike Malone’s top tier coaching, is one of the main reasons why the Nuggets are having such a successful regular season this year. Who knows if they can translate it to post-season success this year, but there’s no question that this team has a very bright future.
