Will any other teams emerge in the West?
Speaking of the Nuggets, them aside, will there be another team that will rise in the Western Conference as the NBA Playoffs quickly approaches? The Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers are likely the only other teams in the West that could probably test the Warriors.
But will any of them actually transform into the threat that the Rockets were last season? It would be tough, but it will come down to whether any of them have the horses to get it done? The Thunder have Russell Westbrook and Paul George, who will likely get a few first-place votes for the MVP.
The Blazers have their dynamic duo in C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard, but have been in this position before but have always fallen short. Will this year be any different?
What about the Jazz? Many pegged them to be one of the three best teams in the West this season, but have somewhat underwhelmed so far this year. Could they turn it on?
What about the Rockets? They have a lot of the same players, along with James Harden leading the way. Could they channel the same success?
