The Celtics could potentially trade up in the draft with their two first-round picks, or move them for an established star, but if they were to make a selection here in the middle of the first-round, there might not be a better pick than Bol Bol.
Bol falls to the mid-late first round after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot. Was he healthy, there’s probably a chance that he’s a top 10 pick, certainly a lottery pick. However, you can’t take this injury lightly.
Foot injuries are never something to laugh off for 7-footers. And there’s a real chance that Bol never becomes the player that he used to be, which is really unfortunate. However, if he fully recovers, the Celtics would be getting a real steal at 18.
