20. Oklahoma City Thunder – Grant Williams, F, Tennessee
At No. 20, the Oklahoma City Thunder are in a position where they can draft a player and not need him to contribute from day one, if at all next season. That’s where they can take a shot on a player like Grant Williams, who is a bit older than most prospects but has been impressive this season.
During his junior season at Tennessee, Williams is averaging 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists on 56 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range. Williams is not a player that many expect to blossom into a star at the NBA level, but there’s no question that he could be a rotation player sooner rather than later.
Williams would be a solid fit in OKC, who is in the business of adding to their supporting cast.
