8. Washington Wizards – De’Andre Hunter, F, Virginia
As the Washington Wizards take a bit of a pivot as a franchise, it would be good for this team to really take a chance on a frontcourt player, with the assumption that they plan on keeping both John Wall and Bradley Beal moving forward.
And that player should be De’Andre Hunter who, with the Virginia Cavaliers, averaged 15 points and five rebounds on 53 percent shooting from the field and an absurd 46 percent from 3-point range. Hunter is the true definition of the new wing in today’s NBA, and could really help stretch defenses.
The Wizards will have big holes at their forwards positions entering the off-season, and Hunter could successfully help fill that void.
