The Memphis Grizzlies have built their whole culture around two iconic players in their franchise history. Those two would be Marc Gasol and Mike Conley Jr. However, the Grizzlies split up the pair at this past trade deadline when they dealt Marc Gasol to the Toronto Raptors.

While Mike Conley Jr. was not traded, he was shopped according to reports in the weeks leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline. Discussions went the furthest with the Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz, but the Grizzlies asked for a bit too much in return and talks fell through.

The Pistons have likely moved on given the improvement in play by Reggie Jackson, but the Jazz should be on the short-list of those interested in Conley this summer, especially with the expiring Ricky Rubio set to hit the open market in free agency.
