Boston Celtics
If the Boston Celtics lose Kyrie Irving in free agency, which is being thrown around as a legit possibility, and decided against rebuilding, Mike Conley could be a great veteran to properly run the offense around the Celtics young players.
It would probably have to include the disappointing Gordon Hayward just to work cap wise, but the Celtics do have enough assets to compensate for the value difference.
Conley would provide the leadership in the locker room that Kyrie Irving seems to lack this season which should make Bradley Steven’s job easier. The Grizzlies should demand at least the Kings pick via Boston in such a proposal. Either way, it’s likely a moot point as the Celtics probably go full rebuild, and embrace their youth movement, if Kyrie departs this off-season.
