Don’t get me wrong, Darren Collison and Cory Joseph have done a fine job for an overachieving post-Oladipo injury Indiana Pacers team during the second half of this season. However, pairing Oladipo with Conley gives the Pacers a very credible back-court that would likely be a bit underrated.

The issue with the Pacers being an option is Conley’s salary would be tough to absorb without letting a few of their own free agents go. The Pacers are likely too reliant on consistency, depth and chemistry to shake everything up for a trade like this.

Even though the Pacers have many expiring contracts after this season, the hope is that they could bring the majority of this core back. The strides the Pacers have made over the last two seasons might be too much to simply reshuffle this summer.
