2. R.J. Barrett, Duke
At least for the moment, R.J. Barrett is still No. 2 on our NBA Draft boards. But, unlike Zion, there is room for him to be leapfrogged in the months leading up to the 2019 NBA Draft. With that said, Barrett is a potential franchise player at the next level.
And he’s shown why time and time this season for the Blue Devils. Despite all the talk about Zion, it’s been Barrett who has led Duke is scoring this season, averaging 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
It’s the efficiency part of his game that many will question. He shoots 45 percent from the field, but only 31 percent from 3-point range. That’s somewhat concerning considering how the NBA has embraced the deep shot in recent years.
