NBA Mock Draft: Jarrett Culver jumps into the top 5; Cam Reddish falls

9. Boston Celtics (via Memphis): Coby White, North Carolina

It’s really tough to predict what the Boston Celtics would do if they selected in this spot, especially with the amount of uncertainty that awaits this team in the off-season. Kyrie Irving could be on the move, and in the even that it actually happens don’t be surprised if Boston became proactive.

Taking Coby White with the 9th pick would accomplish just that, and landing this prospect at this point in the draft would be huge. You could make the argument that he should be a top 7 pick, with the way he’s played recently.

Don’t put it past Boston to utilize this pick in a hypothetical deal for Anthony Davis too. Boston has so much flexibility.
