1. New York Knicks: Zion Williamson, Duke

There’s no change at the top for the New York Knicks who ended up winning the NBA Draft lottery in our simulation. With the No. 1 overall pick, the Knicks will select Zion Williamson who would be both the smart and safe choice.

He’s clearly head and shoulders the best player in this draft and is in a tier of his own. He has impressed through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, with both his size and athleticism. There’s really nothing that Zion doesn’t do well – probably with the exception of free throw shooting, but that’s something that could improve with practice at the next level.

Zion would immediately inject the Knicks with the excitement and intrigue that it needs in order to get Madison Square Garden rocking again.
