Luka Doncic vs. Trae Young: A rookie race to remember

The 2018-19 rookie class has been loaded with talent. Guys like DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley and Jaren Jackson Jr. have all been great in their own right, but the area in which Young and Doncic have separated themselves from the rest of the pack has been in crunch time.

Each of them has already had multiple legendary clutch moments over the course of the season like Luka’s crazy off-balance three he hit in a game against the Blazers as time expired which sent it to overtime. Or how about Trae’s back to back daggers in the final six seconds of a game against the Bucks just the other night, including one of the more ridiculous buzzer-beating game winners in recent memory.

Both guys have proven time and time again that they are not afraid of the moment and that they, in fact, relish it. This is especially impressive given that they are just rookies (I know it’s often easy to forget that when watching them play).
