Cassius Winston, Michigan State

Winston was able to showcase his ability to lead Michigan State to the Final Four despite the team losing Joshua Langford and Kyle Ahrens. In the biggest game of his career, he had 20 points and 10 assists against Duke and made several big plays when the Spartans needed it the most.

At times, during the tournament, Winston seemed to be the player with the highest basketball IQ with good ball-handling, passing and leadership skills to make the league in the late second round or at least get an invitation to the NBA Combine in Chicago. He reminds me of former Duke point guard Chris Duhon who played nine seasons in the league.

Since Michigan State will be in the Final Four, Winston will be able to play in front of dozens of NBA scouts along with hundreds of members of the media. So, he will have the opportunity to show NBA scouts what he does best and that is leading a team to victory.
