Bol Bol is an extremely intriguing prospect that is truly a unique basketball player that might be the perfect player for the modern NBA game. Due to his injury and many not being aware of his talents and prowess, Bol is still somewhat of a mystery coming into the 2019 NBA Draft. But make no mistake, Bol Bol is as talented and has as much potential as any player in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Bol’s skill set is closer to Anthony Davis is terms of overall abilities than many are suggesting. Bol projects as a generational shot-blocker with a rare athleticism and fluidity from big men we seldom ever see. But what makes Bol special is his excellent shooting stroke. Bol’s game appears to be a carbon-copy of former fourth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft Kristaps Porzingis. Bol has a unheralded wingspan of almost 8-feet that allows him to catch lobs over the top of defenses with ease, as well as get rebounds only he could ever reach, as well as shooting over the top of defenders that can’t comfortably contest his length.
Bol’s skill set alone could make him a top-5 Pick in any draft but his two-way potential makes him a definitive argument for the No. 1 overall pick. Bol’s game is very polished for the NBA game and that could be due to his pedigree. Therefore Bol projects as a Kevin Garnett level two-way terror if he reaches his full potential.
