Dallas Mavericks

Record: 33-48

Best Case: The Mavericks not only get to keep their draft pick but they also land a big free agent to pair with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Dallas then enters next season as a legit playoff team.

Worst Case: The Mavericks strike out with their choice of free agents and they lose their draft pick to the Hawks as well.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Record: 36-45

Best Case: Covington comes back healthy and after a full offseason of Ryan Saunders making a imprint on the franchise the Timberwolves return to the playoffs.

Worst Case: Minnesota doesn’t see much growth in its younger players as Towns and Wiggins continue to look like a pairing that doesn’t work, and are faced with a big decision of whether to blow it up again.
