NBA: How the bottom 7 in the East can make a return to the playoffs

10. Miami Heat: Rebuild
Sort of a cheat here, but there’s really no one area the Miami Heat need to improve on, they need to make all sorts of changes. This year, the Heat ended in the bottom third of the league in nearly every category. And, with the departure of Dwyane Wade, it’s not looking like those numbers are going to be getting any better.
The biggest thing the Heat need to do is build depth. Their starting five aren’t awful players by any measure of the word, but turning to a Wadeless bench for key points could be hard for Miami next season if they don’t pick up a couple of key role players.
Lucky for them, this is the best free agency period to need some players in, since there’s going to be a lot of big names drawing focus away from the available role players. Expect the Heat to try and make some waves this summer.
