14. Boston Celtics (via Kings) – Brandon Clarke, F, Gonzaga
If the Boston Celtics hope to land Anthony Davis, it would be surprising if they didn’t accomplish that at the NBA Draft. They have three first-round picks, and both of them would likely have to be included in any deal for Davis.
So there’s a real chance that the Celtics don’t make any picks in the draft (or make selections for the Pelicans, or some other team). With that said, for the sake of this exercise, let’s put all that aside.
The Celtics, at 14, take a project in Brandon Clarke who has great potential but is still very much a raw prospect. Though, he could learn behind Al Horford and other veterans and hopefully grow into a contributor a few years down the line.
